First let me apologize for the photos. I’m using an old Powershot and waiting till Christmas because I really want a new camera. For now, I hope they can just give you some idea of this product and its colors.

I have six shades of the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Shadow. I bought a couple because I wanted cream eye shadow rather than powder. I got more shades through sales and coupons and now have 6. These shadows come in a sturdy glass pot that screws open. I like the feel of them; they are simple and so cute! I have a decent range of the shades they offer. All of these but the purple shade contain shimmer.
Color
One reason I wanted cream shadows is because the colors can be more vibrant. The bright teal color was the first one I wanted. These shadows can be very vibrant if you build up the color. I tend to use mine more sparingly for a subtle shimmery look. These do have shimmer aside from the purple. Also, the Painted Purple shade seems to be very faint and other bloggers have said so too. It isn’t have vibrant as the other shades.

Not a great photo, I know. For these swatches I rubbed my finger (not very hard) in the shadow and rubbed in a line twice. Audacious Asphalt is a dark gray color with shimmer. It can look brown or green in some lights. Pomegranate Punk is a rusty color with gold shimmer. It’s a deep color that goes on bright. Tenacious Teal is a bright blue/green color. Sometimes it appears more green than blue. Bad to the Bronze is a brown shade with plenty of gold shimmer. As you can see Painted Purple is very pale and has little to no shimmer. No matter how much you use, it doesn’t get much darker or brighter. Finally, Too Cool which is a basic sheer white with cool shimmer.
24HR Wear
These shadows claim to last 24hrs but do they? These are definitely long lasting shadows though I’d never wear make up for that long. They are hard to get off, that’s for sure. The shadow is pretty easy to blend but it’s very difficult to completely take off. I used make up removers pads and it come off after a little scrubbing.
Consistency
One issue I have with these shadows is the consistency. It’s rather dry and not very “creamy” so it doesn’t always go on so smooth. You really have to rub your finger to get enough to blend in.

Hard to Apply
My final qualm with these products is that they are a pain to actually put on. Assuming you use your finger, it’s hard to get any precision. Then you have a finger covered in some shade of 24hr eye shadow… so you have to clean your hands often. I’ve tried using a brush too but it’s not easy (see consistency issues). The color also is more matte when applied with a brush.
Best Shade
The best shade in my opinion is Too Cool. It is a sheer, basic white with shimmer. I love to wear it alone, as a base, and as a highlight color. It’s easy to blend for a subtle shimmer or you can wear it more vibrant for an icy white. And it works well with other colors.
Verdict
Personally I would not buy these again as I have hardly put a dent in the one’s I have and I find them messy to apply with my finger. I would recommend them to someone looking for a long-lasting, vibrant cream shadow. You can find these for about $7 at most drug stores.
